How much does branding effect a music artist career? answer is ALOT……
YOUR brand extends far beyond the logos on your website or merchandise items you sell at events. BRANDING is about awareness; awareness of yourself and the public’s mental positioning of you. It’s very important that you are aware of what you are unconsciously conveying to the public; this is key to controlling the magnetism of your brand.
Clarity
It’s first important to understand who you are and what you represent; as is for you to know who you are NOT. once you are successful at knowing who you are, you will soon attract and build a more targeted fan base who will better understand you because you have taken a position on the music market.
A good brand taps into emotions and emotions drive, if not all most of our decisions. Just remember, you don’t want to be all things to all people, this can wear you out as you start out. Remember to ALWAYS be authentic and true to yourself.
Clarity also extends into the social media world, your logos, and grammar you use when talking to your fans. Things like being formal and writing in proper grammar or being laid back and talking as if your chatting has to be decided on. Either way, you must choose a position and stick with it. Branding is about building trust, respect, and consistency. If you cant be consistent, your fans will find someone else to follow.
